• Alexandra Bisesi Appointed New City Court Judge (hudsonvalleypress.com) — Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano has appointed Alexandra R. Bisesi as a new City Court judge, with her swearing-in set for January 1, 2026 at the Riverfront Library. Bisesi, a longtime public servant in Yonkers and Westchester, brings experience in municipal, family, and housing law, and will fill the vacancy left by Judge Verris Shako before running for a full term in 2026.
   

• Councilman Merante Departs with 'I'll Be Back' (yonkerstimes.com) — Yonkers 6th District Councilman Anthony Merante has wrapped up his final City Council meeting, telling residents his advocacy for Yonkers taxpayers will continue in a new form. In a reflective farewell, he highlighted constituent services, criticized extending the mayor’s term limits, and received warm praise from Democratic colleagues but silence from his own party’s council leader.
