This musical adaptation of Thornton Wilder’s hit play The Matchmaker bursts with humor, romance, energetic dance and some of the greatest songs in musical theatre history. The romantic and comic exploits of Dolly Gallagher Levi, turn-of-the-century matchmaker and “woman who arranges things,” are certain to thrill and entertain audiences again and again. Hello, Dolly! premiered on Broadway on January 16, 1964 at the St. James Theatre. Opening with Carol Channing in the title role, the show ultimately played for 2,844 performances, making it – at the time – the longest-running Broadway musical in history. The West End production ran for 794 performances at London’s Drury Lane Theatre. The musical has been revived several times on Broadway, most recently in 2017, starring Bette Midler as Dolly Levi. Getting to Know Computers: Keyboard &amp; Mouse Monday, January 12, in-person at 1 – 2 PM, virtually at 7 – 8 PM Have you ever looked at your keyboard and wondered what all those buttons actually do? You may know the 26 letters and 10 number keys, but what about ALT, Scroll Lock, or FN? In this session, we’ll explore these keys and more. We’ll also take a closer look at your computer’s keypad or mousepad (whichever you prefer) and show you some helpful “under-the-hood” features you can use on your own device. We’ll demonstrate using a Windows computer, but we’ll also cover Mac features. Windows laptops (graciously provided by the Friends of the Somers Library) will be available for hands-on practice during the in-person program. No prior experience required. Presented by Juan Carlos Villagomez. Be careful what you wish for, as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.

The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever. 17th Annual Swing Dance and Concert

Beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7th, 2026the entire community is invited to enjoy live music and dancing at the high school gym at the 16th annual Swing Dance Concert, hosted by the Yorktown High School Concert Band, Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble.Bring your friends and family for a night of dancing to live music; swing era attire is encouraged. 

There will be a dance lesson provided by professional swing dance instructors from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., and then all are invited to show off their new moves from 8:00 – 10:30 p.m. for the dance and concert.Light refreshments will be served.Admission is $10 for students and senior citizens (65 and older), and $15 for adults. Free admission for children under 5.
