Funeral Services Set For Yorktown Supervisor Diana
Thomas Diana died Friday at the age of 66, just days after being sworn in as supervisor.

YORKTOWN, NY — Services have been set for Yorktown Supervisor Thomas Diana who died Friday days after being sworn in as town leader.
He was 66 years old.
Yorktown Funeral Home said visitation for Diana will be from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 945 East Main St. in Shrub Oak.

The town of Yorktown will be providing shuttle bus service from the Jefferson Valley Mall to the Yorktown Funeral Home beginning at 1:45 p.m. Monday. Vehicles should park and meet the shuttles on the south side of the mall near the 24 Hour Fitness. The two shuttles will go back and forth every 15 minutes or as the buses fill up.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1377 East Main St. in Shrub Oak. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 1055 Oregon Road in Cortlandt Manor.

Officials said town offices will be closed Tuesday for Diana’s funeral.
He had just been elected to and sworn in what would have been his first full term as supervisor.
Dianawas first elected to the town board in 2015. In January 2023 he was appointed supervisor to serve out the remainder of Matt Slater’s term, after he was elected to the state Assembly.
According to his obituary, he began serving the public as Putnam County deputy sheriff, after which he transferred to Yorktown as a part of the K-9 unit. He transferred to the Cortlandt Police Department, and then joined the Westchester County Police Department before retiring in March 2005.
Diana is survived by his wife Donna, two daughters and their families.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
