Grocery Stores Open On New Year’s In Hudson Valley

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — If you need more snacks to serve your New Year’s Eve guests, it’s a good idea to plan ahead, as grocery stores in the Hudson Valley adjust their hours for the last holiday of 2023.

But if you do need something at the last minute, you will have more stores from which to choose than during the Christmas weekend. Some stores are closed on New Year’s Day, however, but operate on reduced hours New Year’s Eve.

Remember that it’s always a good idea to call ahead. Stores on this list either confirmed their hours in an email to Patch or listed them on their websites.

Adams Fairacre Farms: Stores will be open New Year’s Eve until 9 p.m. and will be closed New Year’s Day.

Aldi: Stores in the Hudson Valley will be open New Year’s Eve from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will close on New Year’s Day.

BJ’s Wholesale Club: Hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

CVS: On New Year’s Eve, stores open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m., then operate on the regular 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. schedule on New Year’s Day.

Costco: Warehouse stores are closed New Year’s Day but open from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

DeCicco & Sons: Stores will be open until 7:30 p.m. New Year’s Eve and from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. New Year’s Day.

Rite Aid: Stores are open regular hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, although some locations may adjust hours.

Sam’s Club: Warehouse stores are closed New Year’s Day and open until 6 p.m. New Year’s Eve.

ShopRite: Stores are open until 9 p.m. New Year’s Eve and regular hours New Year’s Day.

Stew Leonard’s: Stores are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Stop & Shop: Stores are open until 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and regular hours New Year’s Day.

Target: Stores are open regular hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

The Fresh Market: Stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on New Year’s Day.

Trader Joe’s: Stores are closed on New Year’s Day and open regular hours on New Year’s Eve.

Uncle Giuseppe’s: Stores are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. New Year’s Eve and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. New Year’s Day.

Walgreens: Depending on the region, stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. The chain’s 24-hour stores will operate as usual. Check Walgreens holiday hours at stores in your area to be sure.

Walmart: Stores will be open regular hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Wegmans: On New Year’s Eve, stores close at 8 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
