Woman Steals $8.97 Worth of Beer from Yorktown Gas Station

A 34-year-old Peekskill woman is due in Yorktown Town Court early next month to answer charges that she stole several cans of beer – valued at $8.97 – from a Yorktown gas station, police said.

The woman was arrested on Dec. 31, 2013 when she voluntarily appeared at police headquarters. Police said the arrest stems from a Dec. 6, 2013 incident when the woman stole the cans of beer from the Hess gas station, located on Crompond Road.

She was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor, and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Feb. 4.
