• Cori Bryson, who was coach from 2014-23, returns to Brevard volleyball (citizen-times.com) — Brevard High School volleyball is bringing back former head coach Cori Bryson, who led the Blue Devils to a 2023 state championship, to fill its recent coaching vacancy. After Caleb Hill’s midseason resignation, Bryson returns with a strong record and says she’s eager to build on the program’s recent success and guide Brevard through competition in a new conference. 
• Man accused of assaulting officer, stealing city vehicle set to make next court appearance (wlos.com) — A man accused of striking a Brevard police officer and fleeing in a stolen city vehicle is scheduled for a Dec. 22 disposition hearing in Henderson County. The December 10 chase began near Burrell Avenue and Peace Drive in Brevard and continued into Henderson County, involving multiple law enforcement agencies. The suspect remains jailed on a secured bond.
