• Give Blood Or Platelets And Give Patients Time This Holiday Season (focusnewspaper.com) — Conover residents can give blood locally on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Conover Station Community Room, helping maintain a critical holiday blood supply. The Red Cross especially needs types O positive, O negative and B negative, and is offering thank-you gifts for donors throughout December at drives across the region.
