Drive-Thru School Supply Event Set For Aug. 1 In Davidson
This year, the annual school supply giveaway in Davidson will be a drive-thru event. Here's a list of donations organizers say are needed.
DAVIDSON, NC — Students in Davidson will soon have opportunity to receive free bookbags, school supplies and gift cards during the Back2SchoolBreakout event sponsored by Gesthemene Baptist Church.
This year, the annual school supply giveaway will be a drive-thru event held Saturday, Aug. 1.
Says the event organizer:
"The church already has 450 students registered to receive a bookbag filled with supplies so it is inviting the community to help with: donations of more bookbags, school supplies, and gift cards ($50 Walmart, Target, Visa/MC, Shoe Carnival, or other shoe stores suggested). "
