• Adelaide Van Deventer Gibson (iredellfreenews.com) — Longtime resident Adelaide “Bette” Van Deventer Gibson, 89, has passed away at The Pines in Davidson, where she was active at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church and sang with the Pinetones. Her family remembers her love of music, travel, colorful style, and strong volunteer spirit. A memorial service will be held later, with donations suggested to New Hampshire Audubon or St. Alban’s in Davidson.
