ReadDavidson Seeking Book Nominations For 2021 Reading Program

What's your favorite book? Organizers of ReadDavidson are seeking nominations for the upcoming town-wide reading program.

DAVIDSON, NC β€” Organizers of ReadDavidson, a town-wide reading initiative in Davidson, are asking residents for their nominations of books, including children's picture books, for the upcoming 2021 season.

For more than a decade, the Town of Davidson, Davidson Public Library and Main Street Books have partnered for the ReadDavidson program, which encourages community-wide reading through educational events related to a selected book.

New this year, say organizers, is the inclusion of a picture book for children that pairs with the theme of the main book selection.

β€œReading often begins as a solitary act, but it’s also social; books are written and published to be read by many people," Adah Fitzgerald, owner of Main Street Books, said in a statement. "ReadDavidson brings readers together at the same moment in time to discuss and learn from a single book."
