• Man accused of assaulting officer, stealing city vehicle set to make next court appearance (wlos.com) — Fletcher police were among several agencies that joined a multi-county chase after a suspect allegedly assaulted a Brevard officer and fled in a stolen city vehicle on I-26. The man is now jailed in Henderson County on multiple charges and is scheduled for a Dec. 22 court hearing, where local residents can expect more details on the case’s progress.
