82nd Combat Aviation Brigade Change of Command, Thursday
Ceremony at Fort Bragg's Pike Field

Col. T. J. Jamison, the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade commander, will relinquish his command to Col. Michael J. Musiol during a change of command ceremony at Pike Field, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m.
Jamison has commanded the Pegasus brigade since August 2010 and led the unit through their most recent deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from September 2011 – September 2012. Jamison next, will serve as the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence Chief of Staff at Ft. Rucker, Ala.    Â
Throughout the year-long deployment, the 82nd CAB flew more than 170,000 hours, exceeding every all-time flight record set in Afghanistan in every category. The brigade was one of the most technologically-advanced and robust aviation task forces ever fielded to the war in Afghanistan, boasting nearly 200 helicopters.Â

With the brigade now back at Fort Bragg, Musiol will lead the Troopers as they train to support the U.S. global response force, capable of responding to a wide variety of humanitarian and combat missions around the world with little notice.
