'Black Hawk Down' Author in Fayetteville to Promote Latest Book

Notorious author Mark Bowden, known in military communities for "Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War", was a guest speaker at Fort Bragg on Thursday at the John F. Kennedy Auditorium.

Bowden's strategic stops through Fort Bragg and Fayetteville are ultimately in hopes of catching a second wind in sales with his new release: "The Finish: The Killing of Osama bin Laden.''

On Saturday, the author will appear again downtown at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum for a book signing at 1:30p.m., following his special presentation at 11:30a.m.
