Fort Bragg General Officer Faces Multiple Charges for Sex Crimes
Brig. Gen. Jeffrey A. Sinclair charged under U.C.M.J.

The Army announced on Wednesday morning that Brig. Gen. Jeffrey A. Sinclair has been charged with forcible sodomy, multiple counts of adultery and having inappropriate relationships with female subordinates while serving in Afghanistan, and possessing pornography and alcohol during his deployment.
The Army launched a criminal investigation on Brig. Gen. Jeffrey A. Sinclair back in May, when he was reassigned from Afghanistan back to Fort Bragg.
Sinclair, who has been in the Army for 27 years, was serving his third deployment to Afghanistan. He had also served one tour in Iraq, as well as tours in the first Gulf war. Sinclair had been deputy commander since July 2010.

The charges are under the Uniform Code of Military Justices and the court proceedings will be open to the public according to Fort Bragg officials.
