About the Position:
This position is located Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), Patient Administration Division. WAMC is located on Fort Bragg and occupies over 1 million square feet scattered over 163 acres of land. There is an onsite gymnasium, star quality dining facility, full-service bank, shopette, barbershop, florist, etc., located in the hospital complex. The work area is well lighted and temperature controlled. Special safety precautions are used to reduce exposure to pathogens. Strict compliance with laboratory saftey standards/guides is required.
 Specialized experience: To Qualify applicants must possess oney year of specialized/general experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-06). Specialized experience is defined as: Performing a variety of duties under general supervision to review and analyze ambulatory and outpatient medical data, code medical diagnoses and procedures, conduct wide range of quality assurance studies; utilize graphs, spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software to gather,  assist with the development and deliver coding information to the clinical services; make recommendations in a training setting to improve procedures for compiling and retrieving medical records information;  assist with identifying possible trends and patterns for preparing reports; conduct internal audits under general supervision.
