Early Wednesday morning counts for Cumberland County.

Republican John Szoka defeated Democrat Eddie Dees in the N.C. House District 45 race.

With all 24 precincts reporting, Szoka had 56.42% with 16,115 votes against Dees' 43.58% with 12,447 votes.

U.S. Rep. David Price of Chapel Hill won by a wide margin against Republican challenger Tim D'Annunzio in the 4th Congressional District seat.

Unofficial results showed Price: 264,502 votes - D'Annunzio: 90,925 votes.

N.C. Rep. Marvin Lucas crushed the re-election Tuesday night to represent District 42 in the House, with 77.4% of the votes over Republican challenger Frank Racz of Fayetteville, finishing with 22.5%.

Lucas, a Democrat seeking his seventh term in the General Assembly, tallied 23,070 votes to Racz's 6,705, according to Board of Elections results.

Democrat Rick Glazier won a sixth term in the N.C. House on Tuesday with 56.3% in the District 44 race defeating Richard Button.
