NC State Officials Closed Main Campus Drive after Trench Collapse and Person Dies
A person trapped in a work site trench has died Tuesdays afternoon.
Emergency crews arrived at the University's Centennial Campus around 2:30p.m., nearly two hours after the collapse was first reported because they went to the wrong location first, at 12:45p.m.
After a backhoe removed dirt from the trench, a body covered by a blue tarp was pulled out.
No other details are available from the campus police at this time.
