(Ret.) Sgt. Maj. Larry Bolvin Hailed as a Hero
Bolvin steered his wife's path safety.
Sgt. Maj. Larry Bolvin, of Fayetteville, NC was killed on Thursday in a Hunt for Heroes pageant when a train crashed into the float he was riding on in Midland, Tx.
According to a Fayetteville Observer Report, "Larry is the kind of guy who could keep his head when other people weren't," said Howland, a former Army master sergeant who served in U.S. Special Operations Command with Boivin. "I would almost guarantee he was doing for others that were close to him."
He leaves behind his wife, Angela, and two stepdaughters.

Boivin worked at K2 Solutions Inc. in Southern Pines. He is listed on the company's website as the executive director of support and operations.
