Suspect Sought in Hope Mills Theft
The Sheriff's Department is asking for help in identifying the person in the these photos.
Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives are searching for a suspect who broke into a vehicle and used a stolen credit card to make several purchases.
Investigators say on May 28, 2012 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. a vehicle parked along the 3500 block of Crosswinds Drive in Hope Mills was targeted by a thief. A credit card was taken from the car and was used to buy $147.00 in gasoline and cigarettes.Â
A store surveillance camera caught the suspect making those purchases. He appears to be in his mid to late twenties, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He has dark hair and a short beard or goatee. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray in color tee shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
