Volunteers Sort Donated School Supplies at Ramsey Street Wal-Mart
Students and faculty from Cumberland County volunteered for Friday's initiative.
Four local Wal-Mart Super Centers in Fayetteville accepted donated school supplies during the 'Stuff the Bus' campaign on Friday.
The Cumberland County Schools and Operation Homefront of North Carolina are sponsoring this effort. The school supply drive will benefit students in need inside Cumberland County.
The most needed items that were donated included: backpacks, flash drives, loose leaf paper, pencils/mechanical, marble composition books, and gift cards.Â

Students from both and were on hand, along with faculty volunteers to accept and sort the donated supplies at the Ramsey Street location.
"We've been fortunate to always purchase new school supplies and it's nice to have the opportunity to give back to others at a time when many are out of work," said Cherise Martin, a Fayetteville resident. "It makes it easy being in one location and I can just pick up extra supplies for some students - and it's tax free today."
