Two Fort Bragg Army Couples to Appear on Wheel of Fortune's Military Family Week

Makeeka and Darren Harris of Fayetteville, NC, will be contestants on “Wheel of Fortune” on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Shereka and Demetrist Booker of Raeford, NC will take their spin on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.

Darren, currently a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army, has served in the military for 9 years and has served in both Iraq and Kuwait. His wife Makeeka is currently an Army R.O.T.C. cadet after previously serving in the army for 7 years. They have three children and hope to use their winnings to take the family on vacation.

Demetrist, a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, has done two tours in Iraq and volunteers to help youth at his church in his free time.  His wife Shereka is currently working on her master’s degree and owns her own jewelry business. They have one son and hope to use their winnings to take a trip. Both the Harris’ and Bookers applied to be contestants online at WheelofFortune.com.

The couples will be appearing during Wheel of Fortune’s “Military Families Week,” celebrating our nation’s military and their families. This heartwarming week of shows will feature contestants playing in teams pairing a member of the military with a family member.  Every branch of the military will be represented with contestants from all over the country playing with parents, siblings or spouses.
