- Saturday, October 27, Fort Bragg's Morale, Welfare and Recreation is hosting the monthly 5K Walk/Run is Saturday starting at 9 a.m. at Hedrick Stadium. The event is free, with no registration required. Dogs and strollers are welcome.
- Sunday, October 28, Stop Child Trafficking Now is holding their 4th annual walk/run 5k at Festival Park. The event begins at 4 and registration is FREE online, but donations are encouraged for the cause. T-shirts can be purchased at the event for $10. Chick-fil-A is sponsoring a kids zone with face painting, games, prizes and everyone's favorite: the cow. Register online and avoid the lines. Stollers welcome! Two dance teams from Alpha & Omega Dance Academy and Snyder Memorial's, Steps of Faith, will be performing. FSUs Air Force ROTC will be the colorguard for the event. Don't miss this family event and raise money and awareness for a great cause. Participants are encouraged to make signs to carry or display at the walk.
- Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 7:30a.m. is the RUN UNITED event for Cumberland County's United Way. The event begins at Honeycutt Park, 352 Devers Street and is $25.
