Woman Charged with Identity Theft

Court appearance scheduled for next week.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Detectives have arrested a Fayetteville woman and charged her with stealing her mother’s debit card.

Investigators say 20-year old Taminka Bonner of 7105 Hunters Point Drive used the card to wire money to her boyfriend in Wilson, North Carolina according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's office on Friday.

Between July 16, 2012 and August 20, 2012 Bonner is accused of stealing a total of $2,800 from her mother’s bank account via her computer. Bonner told detectives she wrote down the debit card number and expiration date to process thirty four transactions.

Bonner is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond. She is expected to make a first court appearance on Monday, August 27, 2012 in the Detention Center courtroom.
