Wreath Laying Ceremony to be Held at Fort Bragg

Attend the annual ceremony on Saturday

 

FORT BRAGG, N.C. –  Fort Bragg will be remembering fallen heroes  and honoring U.S. military service members who continue to serve through a wreath laying ceremony, Dec. 15. This will take place noon at the Fort Bragg Cemetery.

The Civil Air Patrol, North Carolina Wing, United States Air Force Auxiliary and Wreaths Across America are sponsoring the event.

Wreaths Across America is a nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath laying ceremony held at Arlington National Cemetery.  This is conducted on a specified Saturday in December at Arlington, as well as veterans cemeteries and other locations in the U.S.

"This is a combined effort of the Civil Air Patrol squadrons in Fayetteville to recognize those who have made sacrifices for our country,"  said Capt. Karen Doyle, event coordinator from the Civil Air Patrol.

More than 1,000 wreaths, sponsored by various individuals and groups from across the nation will placed on graves.
