2 People And A Dog Survive Fire That Destroyed Home, Cars

The early morning fire was in Tanners Creek.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC โ€” A fire in Tanners Creek left a family with next to nothing, according to the Huntersville fire department.

It took multiple stations to respond to the fire at the 6920 block of Cascade Dream Court early Wednesday morning.

When they arrived, the fire was through the roof of the 2-story home. Both people who lived there and their dog escaped safety, but the home itself and cars in the driveway were total losses.

Firefighters were able to save 4 motorcycles from the garage. Homes on either side were also damaged from the heat.

Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal is investigating fire cause and origin.
