Arrest Made In Huntersville Dealership Break-In, Theft: Police

Police identified Gary David Hart as the suspect wanted in a break-in and vehicle theft at Keffer Mazda in Huntersville last month.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — A suspect wanted for breaking into a Huntersville car dealership and stealing a vehicle last month has been arrested, Huntersville Police Department said Wednesday.

HPD circulated photos of the suspect Aug. 13, saying he was wanted for breaking and entering at Keffer Mazda, located at 13307 Statesville Road. "The suspect is described as a white male, shaved head, with unknown tattoos on both arms and across the shoulder blades," HPD said at the time.

Wednesday, HPD said Gary David Hart had been arrested for the incident.

Hart was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle; four counts of breaking and entering motor vehicle; attempted breaking/entering motor vehicle; felony breaking/entering; larceny after breaking/entering; unauthorized use of motor vehicle; and habitual breaking/entering.
