Human Remains Found In Huntersville, Homicide Investigation Underway
Huntersville Police received information from Charlotte Police pertaining to a missing persons case, then found human remains.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Huntersville Police discovered human remains Wednesday after Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police informed them of a tip in a missing person investigation.
Based on that information, Huntersville Police responded to the 12,000 block of Comanche Road and discovered what appeared to be the human remains.
Huntersville Police took a person of interest into custody, but have not yet released the name of the suspect or the name of the deceased.

HPD did want to emphasize that there is "no threat to the community."
