Coffee Shop Donating Proceeds To Fallen Officer's Family Friday
Waterbean Coffee locations will donate all proceeds on Friday to the family of fallen CMPD Officer Mia Goodwin.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Waterbean Coffee shops will donate all Christmas Eve proceeds to the family of Mia Goodwin, the officer killed in the line of duty on Wednesday in Charlotte.
Waterbean released a statement on social media.
"In order to support their family during this time of loss, every Waterbean Coffee in Charlotte will be donating all sales made on Christmas Eve to the Goodwin family. With their permission, any purchase made this day will go directly to the family. We are deeply saddened by this news, and we hope to support the family and the community in any way we can," the statement read.

There are several locations in Charlotte as well as one in Huntersville and another in Cornelius.
Goodwin leaves behind three children after serving the department since 2015. She was killed Wednesday in a horrific crash on I-85 where four patrol cars were struck by 18-wheelers.
