Huntersville PD Searching For Identity Of Female Remains Found

The remains belonged to a mystery woman who they believe went missing in July. Her remains were found in Huntersville.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Huntersville Police are hoping the public can hopefully identify the remains of a woman discovered in town in late January.

Police held a press conference Friday in which they stated they believe the woman went missing in July of 2021 and was picked up around August 4 along Interstate 85 near Sugar Creek Road by two people.

Her remains were found on Camanche Road in Huntersville in late January. Christopher John Nailor was arrested and charged with her murder afterward as well as kidnapping and hiding her death. Police said today the remains were found on his land.

The remains of the woman found are described as a white female standing about 5′7.” The dark photo shows her wearing a T-shirt, shorts, dark shoes with white soles and a silicone ring on her left hand.

HPD is hoping the public can help them identify this woman.
