Huntersville Police Warn Of Trees Down Due To Winter Weather

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Huntersville Police are warning residents that Monday morning of the new year is a mess, according to their social media posts.

"For those of you that expressed patience as your New Year’s Resolution then we have the morning for you!" HPD posted in jest.

"Mother Nature has blessed us with trees down all around the area. Please slow down and watch for downed trees across the road," it continued.

NASCAR Cup Crew Chief Rodney Childers posted on social media a tree is blocking his driveway at his Lake Norman area home.

Interstate 77 is also covered in water so that's impacting traffic.
