Huntersville Shares Plans To Celebrate Black History Month

The town of Huntersville will honor Black History Month with several events all month long.

HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Huntersville will honor Black History month with multiple events throughout February, according to town officials.

Mecklenburg County's David B. Waymer Recreation Center and the Huntersville Parks and Recreation Department will celebrate history every Monday at 2 p.m. with various free programs open to all ages.

They are asking that people pre-register so they know what to expect, and all you have to do is call 980-314-1127 to let them know you're coming.

Masks will be required indoors.

The program line up is as follows:

February 7 – History Presentation by Community Leaders Bee Jay Caldwell & Varona Wynn

February 14 – Showing of Hidden Figures Movie (with popcorn & candy selection) February 21 – Special Performance by Drums 4 Life

February 28 – Black History Bingo/Trivia
