• USARK: Lincoln County, NC Commissioners Ban Exotics (reptilesmagazine.com) — Lincoln County commissioners have advanced a sweeping exotic animal ordinance that bans all lizards and amphibians, affecting many common pets owned by Lincolnton residents. A second vote is set for January 5, 2026, with a related public meeting January 6 at the county administration building on Generals Boulevard in Lincolnton. Animal owners and professionals are being urged to contact commissioners about scientific and financial concerns.
