• Marion man charged after failed burglary attempt: authorities (wlos.com) — A Marion resident has been charged after deputies say he stole a garage door opener from a vehicle and tried to use it to enter an occupied home in town. McDowell County deputies, aided by home security footage, quickly identified and arrested the suspect behind a Marion business, and he now faces two felony charges and a secured bond.
