2 Former NASCAR Crew Members Arrested On Charges Involving Minors

MOORESVILLE, NC — A former NASCAR hauler driver and a former NASCAR car chief were arrested and fired after they were charged with crimes involving minors.

The Charlotte Observer dug into arrest recordsand learned former Front Row Motorsports hauler driver John Byrd was arrested Nov. 22 for child abuse by allowing sexual assault on a minor, which is a felony. The Observer reports the crime involves a 13-year-old. News media does not identify victims of sexual crimes in order to protect their privacy.

Former Xfinity Series Car Chief Austin Zivich was arrested in Mooresville and charged with three counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
