Here are the top stories today in Mooresville:
- It's time for the 40th Anniversary of the Race City Festival. The event will be held on May 13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in beautiful, historic Downtown Mooresville. There will be a bevy of fun and exciting things to do, watch, listen to and buy including arts and craft vendors, sidewalk sales, live music, dance performances, bounce houses, a children's train, food truck festival and more. - Don't miss the Improv Show, the last performance to wrap up the theatre department’s 2022-23 season. All proceeds directly support Mooresville High School theatre and future productions. The show will take place on May 8, at the Black Box. Tickets are $3. The show will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Hope to see you there! (Mooresville High School via Facebook).
- Two Mooresville residents, Candice Rogers and William Troy Marting, are both being held at the Iredell County Detention Center. After an investigation, they are facing multiple felonies. According to Fox 46 Charlotte, "The felonies [involve] car break-ins, drugs, financial fraud, conspiracy, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office."
