AMBER Alert Issued For 3 Kids, Father Wanted In NC Sex Crimes

MOORESVILLE, NC — Jonathan Wright has multiple warrants in Mooresville for sex crimes against minors, and he's on the run in Texas according to the Medina County Sheriff's Office.

An AMBER alert was issued Tuesday night for his three children, Jonathan Wright, 11; Lucas Wright, 9; and Ariana Wright, 8.

According to San Antonio television station KSAT, Wright was driving with his wife and five children but the car broke down. They all left the vehicle on foot, and his wife and two of his kids were stopped by a deputy. She revealed the information about the warrants in Mooresville to local police in Texas.

Wright and the three children were last seen Monday with their dad near Settlers Pass, a neighborhood in Rio Medina outside of Castroville, Texas.

Deputies told KSAT that the crimes in Mooresville did not involve his children.
