- The saying, "if you see something say something," came into play Tuesday at Shepherd Elementary School in Mooresville when Jessica Sue Proctor, who was a contracted teacher assistant at the school, allegedly "smelled of alcohol," according to WBTV. Once made aware of the situation the principal reportedly promptly called the county resource officer and Proctor was found to be "impaired." "An open bottle was found in her purse, which deputies say students could have easily accessed." She was then "charged with misdemeanor possession of alcohol on a school campus and misdemeanor child neglect." Proctor reportedly had only worked at the school for two days. The school sent out a letter to parents explaining that at no time was any child left alone with Proctor. (WBTV)
