Here are the top three stories in Mooresville today:
- In a 40-minute sermon he gave at the Trinity Baptist Church in Mooresville Sunday, North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson reportedly included comments against the LGBTQ community. According to WSOC CHarlotte, "Robinson criticized the Pride flag and pastors who accept LGBTQ members." (WSOC Charlotte)
- There's been some hinting that the Lake Norman Chick-fil-A will open soon, after being closed for close to four months. Renovations that were completed during the closing include a new traffic pattern that will hopefully alleviate the back up problem at Rolling Hill Road-N.C. 150 intersection. New double drive-thru lanes and interior and exterior renovations are all part of the new, fresh look. Stay tuned for more information.(AOL)
- Mooresville's Board of Commissioner member Bobby Compton has been named a N.C. Main Street Champion of 2022! Commissioner Compton has played a key role the Town of Mooresville for more than 40 years – from his role as firefighter, then Fire Marshal for Mooresville Fire-Rescue to serving as a commissioner since 2011. Compton is the Board’s liaison to the Mooresville Downtown Commission and helps ensure Mooresville’s Main Street remains a thriving place for businesses. Congratulations Bobby!
