According to the Charlotte Observer, "emergency crews recovered a person from Lake Norman late Wednesday outside a NASCAR Hall of Famer’s Cornelius waterfront mansion that’s under construction. “The missing person was recovered this evening,” the Huntersville Fire Department said on Twitter at 11:45 p.m."(Charlotte Observer)
3. Jay Wilson of Mooresville High School has been chosen as The Charlotte Observer’s high school football defensive player of the week. According to the Charlotte Observer, "After more than 17,000 votes, Wilson finished ahead of Myers Park’s Win Byerley and Porter Ridge’s Stephan Zayachkowsky. In a 40-28 come-from-behind win over Providence, Wilson had a game-sealing interception, plus six tackles and three pass breakups." Great job Jay. (Charlotte Observer.com)
