- Nick Hoffman of Mooresville placed 23rd in Thursday night’s feature race in the Eldora Million at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The race reportedly had the richest winner's purse in dirt racing history: $1,002,022.(Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
- Celebrating Juneteenth, The Eastern Heights Community Watch will hold their annual Juneteenth community cookout event on Saturday, June 18 at Willow Valley Park. According to the Facebook post, Community resource booths and information will be available noon-2 p.m. Free food and entertainment will begin at 1 p.m. Festivities conclude at 5 p.m. This event is Free, family-friendly, and open to all! Bring your chair or blanket and enjoy the fun! Special thanks to Mooresville Fire-Rescue for grilling the hotdogs and hamburgers! (Town of Mooresville via Facebook)
- Three were shot on Friday, in the parking lot of the Eastridge Mall. The injuries sustained were reportedly not life-threatening. A 17-year-old boy has been charged in the shooting. His name has not been released because he is a minor. He was reportedly arrested on felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon. (Mooresville Tribune)
