  1. Get to know retired United States Air Force Special Agent Charles Attardo a little better. According to a very kind write-up about him and his community contributions on the Mooresville Police Department Facebook page, "around town, people know Attardo as “The Laminator” or “God’s UPS Man.” Attardo makes it his mission to connect with local law enforcement agencies, schools and many others in our community to laminate important items from local papers for the organizations so that they can keep it forever. Attardo stops by MPD every week to deliver the laminated items. He, like many others, is one of many individuals who may not wear a uniform but who support MPD and ensure our staff are able to serve our community. When you see him around town, make sure you say hi! Thank you for all that you do for our community!" (Mooresville Police Department via Facebook)
  2. Tony Perkins is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the “Pray-Vote-Stand North Carolina” event sponsored by the Family Research Council in Washington. The event will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on October 16 at Trinity Baptist Church, 221 Ervin Road, Mooresville. According to the Mooresville Tribune, "Perkins who is the council's president will be joined by Paul Newby, chief justice of the N.C. Supreme Court, and area pastors Dean Hunter, Central Baptist, Kannapolis; Darren Johnson, Hebron Baptist, Statesville; and Mark Harris, Trinity Baptist. Special music will be provided by combined church choirs of Central Baptist, Enochville First Baptist and Trinity Baptist." Hope to see you there! (Mooresville Tribune)
