  1. Chase Elliott, NASCAR star, sustained an "unspecified" injury while snowboarding in Colorado. He needed surgery following the injury and has since come out of surgery successfully. However, according to the Mooresville Tribune, "[Elliot had] to miss this weekend’s NASCAR race at Las Vegas. Team owner Rick Hendrick told The Associated Press that Elliott was ‘just out of surgery’ and ‘it went well.’ Hendrick gave no additional details about Elliott’s condition or the accident." (Mooresville Tribune)
  2. Mooresville mother, Christina Gravinese, is extremely upset after she was reportedly asked by the town to take down the decorations she had put up on a bench in the park in honor of her son who passed away in December. Apparently the town received complaints from multiple people that the bench “wasn’t accessible for all residents and visitors.” Now, Gravinese has until the end of March to take the decorations. According to WSOC Charlotte “[The city] approved every decision I wanted to do. They said yes to the bench, said yes to the plaque, said yes to the rock garden, said yes to the sign, said yes to the flag -- now they want to take it all back,” Gravinese told Channel 9′s Almiya White." (WSOC Charlotte)
