- Cornhole for Cancer is back! According to post on the Mooresville High School Facebook page, "the sports literature class at MHS is hosting the 13th annual Cornhole for Cancer tournament on April 28. As a class, our students coordinate the Cornhole for Cancer project and give all the proceeds to a deserving member in the Mooresville area, and in this case, it is a MGSD community member who is battling breast cancer. We are seeking sponsorship and welcome donations throughout the entire campaign. Starting early February we will begin selling long sleeve t-shirts for $15 and short sleeve t-shirts for $12. Tournament entries will cost $10 per team and all proceeds will go directly to the family. Her fight is now our fight! Last year Cornhole for Cancer earned $9,536 that went directly to two local families battling cancer! Please email Mr. Clark to register your team, for financial sponsorships or with questions. jamesclark@mgsd.k12.nc.us." (Mooresville High School via Facebook)
