Earth Day Event Set For Saturday In Mooresville's Bellingham Park

Make a rain gauge, a bee home or a recycled flower planter during this Earth Day event in Mooresville this weekend.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Earth Day is April 22, and Mooresville Parks and Recreation is celebrating early with free crafts and games at an event this weekend.

MPR's "Destination Recreation" Earth Day event will take place Saturday, April 17 from 9 a.m. until noon at Bellingham Park, located at 1600 Bellingham Drive in Mooresville.

"Help us celebrate Earth Day by learning about rain with a rain gauge, crafting bee homes, and making recycled flower planters," organizers said. "This event is completely free while supplies last."

The event will also include giant Jenga, cornhole and a Hula-Hoop contest.
