Here are the top three stories in Mooresville today:
- The weather forecast for the weekend has caused Mooresville's Earth Day celebration to be postponed. The event is being pushed back a week to April 29 in hopes that the weather will be better. Currently, the forecast is calling for showers on Saturday. (Mooresville Tribune)
- The Lake Norman High School Winterguard has returned to their school with high honors. The Guard was dormant for seven years. After many hours of practice this season all the hard work paid off. According to the Mooresville Tribune, "[Each group of the Guard] placed in the top three at their first three contests in the Carolina Winter Ensemble Association competition circuit, with the varsity team scoring Highest Overall at their first contest. Both teams placed seventh in their respective classes at the recent CWEA Regional Championship." Congratulations! (Mooresville Tribune)
- Iredell County Animal Services (located at 430 Bristol Dr. Statesville, NC) is having an open house and kitten shower on April 29th between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Come tour the facility and bring supplies for the annual deluge of kittens that come into the shelter. This year the event will have food trucks and characters for the family to meet. It will also include vendors set up throughout the area. Hope to see you there! (Patch)
