FeedNC Launches Summer Culinary Job Training Program: Details
The 12-week job placement program in Mooresville provides hands-on field training and culinary certifications. Here's how to apply.
MOORESVILLE, NC β FeedNC is accepting applications for its Summer 2021 Culinary Job Training Program.
The 12-week job placement program sponsored by the Mooresville-based food pantry aims to provide those who are unemployed or underemployed with hands-on field training and culinary certifications. The program also officers life-skill classes and real-life culinary experience.
Says FeedNC: "All students enrolled in the program receive 50 hours of formal education, 150 hours of field training, Servsafe certification and FAREcheck. Additionally, our students have access to resume-worthy experiences through FeedNC Daily Fare service, FeedNC catering and FeedNC cooking demos! All students complete weekly readings, journal entries, 5 tests and a final throughout the program. After completion, graduates are then linked to our local restaurant and business partners for gainful employment."

According to FeedNC, the program has a 90 percent job placement rate among its graduates, and 85 percent of graduates increased their income.
