The county health department will soon transition to an online appointment system for vaccination events, it said.
"We ask for patience during this transition, and always welcome feedback from the community," ICHD said. "Please do not call the Iredell County Health Department to schedule an appointment."
Iredell County residents currently have four options for accessing vaccines in the county. Iredell County Health Department, Iredell Memorial Hospital, Davis Regional Hospital and Lake Norman Regional Hospital are the only healthcare providers administering the vaccine.
As of Feb. 8, nearly 20,000 vaccines had been administered in Iredell County, of which about 15,000 were first doses and more than 5,000 second doses, according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
