  1. Two new proclamations were read at the recent Board of Commissioners meeting. Commissioner Dingler read a proclamation honoring April 24-30 as Arbor Day Week. Members of the Environmental Protection Committee were on hand to encourage the public to attend the Town's Earth Day event at Selma Burke Recreation Center on Saturday, April 22 from noon-3 p.m. In addition, Commissioner Compton read a proclamation honoring April 23-29 as National Preservation Week. Local History & Archives staff encouraged the public to preserve items during the Town's Scanning Day at Selma Burke Recreation Center on Saturday, April 29 at 9 a.m." (Town of Mooresville NC via Facebook)

  3. There will be a charitable Fun Run 5K event for Project Change happening Saturday, April 22, at Good Soul Yoga. The start time is 9 a.m. There will be food trucks, bounce houses and face painting. This is a FUN RUN 5K, walk, run or stroll to raise awareness and donations for Project Change, a charitable organization for the support of children with fibrous dysplasia, a rare bone disease.
