GoFundMe For Electrocuted Mooresville Boy Reaches $20,000
The fundraiser began shortly after the incident outside of his middle school.

MOORESVILLE, NC — A GoFundMe established for a young boy electrocuted by a downed powerline last week has reached $20,000, according to the fundraising site.
The child, identified by family as Andrew Milholland, was simply walking home from school when he encountered a powerline adjacent to Mooresville Middle School.
He was taken by ambulance to a hospital initially and the flown to a burn unit.

Duke Energy quickly responded to clear the line following the injury.
Milholland has a long road ahead of him, according to the GoFundMe.

He's in the PICU at Wake Forest Baptist Burn Center and has gone through surgery, but is expected to have 5 surgeries in two weeks for his burns. He is in stable condition but has 3rd degree burns over 30 percent of his body.
