Here are the top four stories in Mooresville today:

  1. GoKart fans mark your calendars! 2. According to K104.7, "the Ace & TJ Show is proud to announce that the kick-off for Pedaling for Payton will happen on October 7. As part of Payton’s Promise, a charity to help with community assistance efforts. The Ace & TJ Show has always had a special place in which they wanted to help others and now is their chance with Payton’s Promise. This year for Pedaling for Payton, Ace will be riding a bike from the Ace & TJ Show studio in Mooresville, NC to Birmingham, AL. The long-distance bike will be to honor Payton’s Promise in honor of his late daughter. If you are interested in donating to the charity, click here. For more information on Payton’s Promise and the work they hope to accomplish, visit their website." (K104.7)
  3. When you’re in the market for some fresh digs, keeping tabs on all the latest listings can take hours of tedious investigating online. That’s why we’ve gone ahead and done the initial work for you. Here’s a sampling of the latest batch of new properties to hit the housing market in and around Mooresville — such as a listing with 4 beds and 3 baths for $593,000, and another with 4 beds and 3 baths for $593,000.(Mooresville Patch)
  4. Fans need to send out good vibes to Amber Balcaen and her Mooresville-based team Rette Jones Racing as they head to Herr’s Snacks 200 at the historic Salem (Ind.) Speedway. According to Speedway Media.com, Balcaen said, “As I mentioned at Bristol, I’m sick of us being taken out because people think they can just run us over or take us out for whatever they feel their reason is. “I have worked hard to get to the ARCA Menards Series. My team busts their behinds to bring me fast No. 30 ICON Direct Ford Fusions each race and our sponsor doesn’t deserve us not seeing the checkered flag. “I have no problem with racing people clean and I’ll race them with respect as long as they show me respect, but we don’t need any more races to end with us in the garage and we’re going to stand our ground even at a tough and demanding short track like Salem Speedway.” (SpeedwayMedia.com)
